I considered Gaurav Jha's idea of a business card that could be scanned to bring up a website, but decided against it because it was too simple of a project. It mostly just consisted of a card with a type of scanner that will bring up a webpage, so it is more hardware-related, and won't have much coding. I am more familiar with software-related projects, so I wanted to do something along those lines instead.
I considered Vijay Vemulapalli's project because it was AI related, which I'm interested in. However, I decided that it was a little bit too simple, and I wanted more of a challenge. For his project, the image classifier just needs to see if there is a baby or not, which is only a binary classifier.
I considered Jakob McPherson's idea of using an adjustable AI to play different types of web games, because it was really interesting and it combine video games with artifical intelligence. However, I did a similar project to this last year, so I decided that I wanted to get experience in a different application of AI, and went with a different project.
I considered Jacob Fesseha's Goose Game idea proposal because it combines the fun of playing video games with my passion for coding, but I decided against it because I have developed games in the past, and I want to try something different and more complicated.
I considered Neeraj Gogate's proposal because his code converter idea was creative and unique, but I decided not to join his group, because the task seems extremely difficult, as it would have to include extremely accurate Natural Language Processing, and I'm not sure if it is feasible.
I considered Gautam Narayan's proposal of using web scraping to predict stock trends because it was interesting, challenging, and feasible, but decided not to do it because .
I accepted Cameron Farley's idea. I really like the idea of being able to automate attendance, because it is a project we will likely be able to actually try to implement in this classroom. Using AI Facial Recognition is also a topic of interest for me because I've used AI for projects in the past, and I want to gain more experience with it.
